Family castle? :O

I think it’s an Irish/Scottish thing. Because we’ve got one in Scotland (the MacGregor Castle in Glenlyon) and the photo on my grandparents’ wall is of them at the O’Dea Clan Gathering at Dysert O’Dea Castle in Ireland in 2002. Technically, I don’t belong to the O’Dea clan because it’s my grandpa’s mum’s family and our family is part of the MacGregor clan because that’s my grandpa’s dad’s family, but I think my grandpa counts as part of both clans. I’m not sure. I get confused/sleepy whenever my grandpa talks to me about Scotland and the clan thing. It’s not a proper castle anymore, but an archaeological and heritage museum which is open for the public. But I think it was made for/by some long lost Irish relatives of mine and named in their honour and intended to be kept and passed down through the family. Something like that. My family don’t actually own the castle. I wish.
